At the Dräger factory site in Moislinger Allee, the location of the Institute for Electrical Engineering in Medicine, the team around Prof. Schildbach explained how automated drones equipped with artificial intelligence can be used to take on complex tasks. In the article, the two current research projects MOMENTUM and AOD (Autonomous Offshore Drone) are presented and challenges of the unmanned aerial systems are discussed.
