In February 2018, Georg Schildbach has joined IME as a new Professor for mechatronics. His research group will be focussed on the control of autonomous systems. Georg's expertise is in the field of control theory, machine learning, and numerical optimization. He has held industrial and academic positions in the field vehicle control and autonomous vehicles in Germany and the USA.
